visibility poor is a quiet broadcast from somewhere offshore.
A reflection of the world in scattered conditions.
A sea state of the self.
An emotional logbook for unsettled waters.
This project is inspired by the Shipping Forecast – the BBC’s nightly maritime bulletin, a rhythmic ritual of weather, waves, and uncertainty. Like the forecast, this space exists at the edge of clarity. A liminal zone between presence and distance. Between calm and storm.
Here, you’ll find a curated drift of:
- Original photography – taken during quiet crossings, internal and external
- Found media – fragments of internet memory, anonymous posts, satellite noise
- Text – short musings, emotional forecasts, glimpses of the horizon
No names. No explanations.
Just transmissions under low pressure.
Thanks for tuning in.
